COLIFAST INSTRUMENTS CONTRIBUTE TO MONITOR RAW WATER QUALITY.

Both Colifast CALM and ALARM are suitable for various raw water application:

COLIFAST ALARM
MONITORS DRINKING WATER DISINFECTON PROCESS

Colifast ALARM is installed at the membrane filter rig at Jevnaker's drinking water treatment plant (DWTP). The instrument collects a 100 mL sample every 24 hours, testing for total coliforms. Results are sent directly to the DWTP control room via PLC

RAW WATER MONITORING WITH COLIFAST CALM

Three CALM instruments continuously monitor Gothenburg's raw water. The analyses are completed in 12 hours and results are directly transferred to the control room at the treatment plant. Water treatment is optimized based on bacteria levels reported by the instruments.

GROUND WATER MONITORING WITH COLIFAST ALARM

GIVAS is an inter-municipal water and wastewater utility in eastern Norway. Normally, their groundwater is of good quality. However, during flooding of the nearby Glomma River, water infiltrates the aquifer, potentially compromising quality. During these times, chlorination is initiated when the river reaches a certain level and stopped based on negative results from the Colifast ALARM system. This approach has led to shorter and more precise chlorination periods, improving water quality for consumers.
