COLIFAST INSTRUMENTS MONITOR DRINKING WATER QUALITY

Colifast ALARM is our most used instrument for monitoring drinking and is placed at various

locations around the world:

Colifast ALARM Monitors the Water Quality in a Clean Water Reservoir

Colifast ALARM monitors the water quality in a clean water reservoir at Rennesøy outside of Stavanger. The instrument performs daily analyses of coliform bacteria and sends the result via e-mail or SMS or to operator’s control room via PLC.

The city of Barcelona uses Colifast ALARM

ATL wants to ensure their drinking water in Barcelona meets hygienic standards. By reducing the time from sampling to results to 15 hours, they can act faster when the water quality is poor. After local calibration, detecting bacteria within 10 hours serves as a warning, helping operators adjust water treatment as needed.

Colifast ALARM monitors purified drinking water in a remote, Brazilian village

Decades of water scarcity in this Brazilian region have led to reduced water pressure and supply. To ensure the safety of water disinfection, Sabesp implemented the Colifast ALARM instrument.

Groundwater monitoring with Colifast ALARM

GIVAS, an inter-municipal water utility in eastern Norway, typically has high-quality groundwater. However, during water floods, the water can infiltrate the aquifer. To ensure good water quality, chlorination begins when the river reaches a certain level and stops based on negative results from the Colifast ALARM system. This has resulted in shorter, more precise chlorination, enhancing water quality for consumers.

Groundwater monitoring with Colifast CALM

Three CALM instruments continuously monitor Gothenburg's raw water, completing analyses in 12 hours. Results are sent directly to the treatment plant's control room, allowing for optimized water treatment based on bacteria levels.
